Sun Rise I
Neighborhood

14 homes

Sun Rise I, the Home Trust’s second neighborhood, is located at the end of Grover Street near Friday Harbor Elementary School. This community features 14 homes, a mix of duplexes and triplexes, arranged around a central courtyard on 1.67 acres. Designed with environmental sustainability in mind, these homes include solar hot water heating, rainwater catchment systems, bamboo flooring, and air-to-air heat exchangers, all aimed at reducing utility bills, conserving water, protecting the marine ecosystem, and reducing global warming.

The homes in Sun Rise I are legally structured as condominiums. Two homes are available to “moderate income” households (up to 115% of the Area Median Income), while the remaining 12 are reserved for households at or below 80% AMI.
